About Roccomotive

Engineering, performance,Australian manufacturing.

Roccomotive is an engineering-led automotive product development business in Brendale. Performance intakes and airboxes we designed ourselves, suspension supplied and set up properly, and custom parts for the cars nobody makes them for — all under one roof, from the engineer you talk to.

Who you’re dealing with

The person who designed it is the person who answers the phone.

Roccomotive is run by Marcello Surace, a mechanical engineering graduate. Since 2016 he has worked with motorsport teams on open-wheel and sedan race programmes, and before that spent the better part of a decade in industrial fabrication — forklifts, telecommunications, packaging and material-handling equipment — where a part either works or it doesn’t.

In between, three years as a designated engineer at Fulcrum Suspensions: third-party suspension products, polyurethane bushes, shock absorber components, control arms, vehicle geometry, 4x4 and road-car setup, and the reality of working with both local and overseas manufacturing. Add years of hands-on TEIN experience — rebuilding, testing, and knowing the product from the inside — and you have the reason Roccomotive fits the brands it fits.

That background is why scanning, design, prototyping, fitment and revision all happen under one roof. There is nobody to refer you to, and no offshore designer who has never seen your car.

How we work

End to end, or one stage at a time.

Bring us a concept and take it through to a production-ready part, or use a single stage — a scan for your own CAD, a prototype of your design, a set of coilovers fitted and set up.

  1. 01

    Consultation

The problem, the outcome you want, and whether the engineering time fits the budget.

  2. 02

    3D scanning

In the workshop or mobile across Greater Brisbane. The car as it sits, modifications included.

  3. 03

    CAD design

Designed around the captured geometry — new parts, recreated parts, modified assemblies.

  4. 04

    Prototype & test fit

A printed part on the car in days. Accurate scanning means the first fit is usually close.

  5. 05

    Revision

Improvements rather than corrections. Then it's locked.

  6. 06

    Manufacture

Printing in polymer and metal, polycarbonate cutting, laser cutting and powder coating, then assembly.

  7. 07

    Installation & setup

Fitting, ride height, damping and shock setup where the job calls for it.

  8. The whole process, with the real jobs it was photographed on, is on the services pages.

Made here

Designed and manufactured in Australia.

Our own products — the intakes and airboxes — are designed and built in Brendale, in PC-CF, TPU, polycarbonate and high-temperature nylons chosen per part. The design and the development never leave.

Suspension we fit

Dealer for TEIN, Whiteline and SuperPro — chosen on prior hands-on experience with the products, not a catalogue margin. Supplied, installed, and set up around the car. Longer term, some suspension components will carry the Roccomotive name too.

Next step

Bring us the car, or bring us the problem.

Shop the parts we've already engineered, or start a conversation about the one that doesn't exist yet. Either way you'll be talking to the person doing the work.
