Development vehicle program

Lend us the car.Get the product.

When we decide to develop a new product for a specific car, we need that car — for scanning, for test fitting, for revision. If it's yours and it's the one we're looking for, you provide access and, subject to the campaign's terms, you may receive the finished product at or around cost.

The short version

  • We name the vehicle we want. It's not open to every car.
  • You provide access for scanning and test fitting over the development period.
  • You may receive the resulting product at or around cost, per the campaign terms.
  • We keep the design and turn it into a catalogue product.

How it works

We identify a vehicle or application we want to build a product for — usually because enough people have asked. We put the call out here. A suitable owner in Greater Brisbane provides access to the car: a scanning session first, then a test fit or two as the design is refined. We do the engineering. The owner may receive the finished product at or around cost, subject to the specific campaign's terms, and the product goes into the catalogue for everyone else with that car.

Which cars we consider

Two kinds. Models we're already chasing, where we've decided to build a product and need the car. And new models we haven't looked at yet: if yours is one people keep asking about, or one we could build something genuinely useful for, we'll consider it. Either way, the terms (including what the finished product costs you) are set per campaign, not promised up front.

Own a model we're chasing, or one you think we should be? Register it below. We read every one.

What makes a good development car

Close to the configuration most owners have — a factory car or a common modification, not a one-off build. Available for a scanning session and a couple of test fits over the development period. Located in Greater Brisbane, or able to get to Brendale. And an owner who's happy for the car to be the reference the product is built on.

Register your car

Put your car forward.

We keep every registration on file. When we choose a car to develop a product for, we start with the owners who’ve put theirs forward.

Questions

Asked before you ask.

Can I register if no campaign is open?
Yes — that's what registering is for. Your car stays on file, and we get in touch when a campaign fits it.
Can I suggest a car?
Yes — register it using the form above. The cars we develop for are the ones people ask about. That's how the current range happened.
Do I get the product free?
At or around cost, per the specific campaign's terms. It's not free, and the terms are set per campaign.
