Tune recommended. We recommend a professional ECU tune when fitting this intake. A new intake changes how air reaches the engine even when the airflow cross-section stays the same. A tune makes sure the engine is calibrated to suit. Talk to a qualified tuner for your car before fitting.

What it is

A fully enclosed airbox for the Toyota Crown GRS214, designed from a 3D scan of the 2GR-FSE engine bay. A dedicated fresh-air intake pipe feeds the K&N high-flow filter, while the enclosed box keeps it separated from hot engine-bay air.

The box, pipes and mounts are printed in PC-CF for strength and heat resistance next to the engine, with a clear polycarbonate cover so you can check the filter at a glance. TPU seals and a mounting bush keep it sealed and isolate vibration, and it keeps the factory air sensor and bolts to the factory mounting points.

Fitment notes

Fits the Toyota Crown GRS214 (2012–2018) with the 3.5L 2GR-FSE V6. Other Crown models and engines, including the 2.5L and hybrid, aren't confirmed.

Materials are stated per product. We don’t publish airflow, temperature or power figures — there is no test data behind them, so we describe what the part is made of and how it’s designed instead.

How it's built

Box, lid, pipe, gaskets, filter, hardware. Nothing you have to fabricate.

Made in Brendale

Scanned, designed and printed a few streets from where it’s fitted.

Every Roccomotive product starts as a 3D scan of the actual engine bay, is designed over that mesh by a mechanical engineer, and is printed here in the material chosen for its job. Metal parts — like the GR Corolla’s cooling panel — are laser cut and powder coated.

Questions

Asked before you ask.

Do I need a tune?
A tune is recommended. A new intake changes how air reaches the engine, even when the airflow cross-section stays the same, so a professional ECU tune is the best way to make sure the engine runs as it should. We recommend talking to a qualified tuner for your car before fitting.
Is a filter included?
Yes. A K&N (or similar) high-flow filter is included. It's washable and reusable, and replacement filters are available from us.
Does it keep the factory air sensor?
Yes. The kit retains the factory air sensor and mounts to the factory mounting points.
Is it bolt-in and reversible?
Yes. It bolts to the factory mounting points with no drilling or cutting, and the factory intake can be refitted if you ever need to.
How long does it take to arrive?
Each kit is made to order in Brendale and dispatched within 1–3 days. We ship Australia-wide, or you can add fitting at our Brendale workshop for $165.
What's the warranty?
Our warranty terms are on our Warranty page.
Which Crown does it fit?
The GRS214 (2012–2018) with the 3.5L 2GR-FSE V6. Other Crown models and engines aren't confirmed yet; send us your chassis code and we'll check.
Why a fully enclosed airbox?
An open pod filter sits in the hottest air under the bonnet. Enclosing the filter separates it from engine heat and protects it from road debris.
