What it is

The Roccomotive Toyota Supra A80 2JZ-GE Performance Airbox has been developed specifically for naturally aspirated A80 Supra models, providing a modern enclosed intake solution designed around the factory engine bay.

Using 3D scanning and CAD design, the airbox has been engineered to maximise the available space while maintaining vehicle-specific fitment and a clean, OEM-inspired appearance.

The main airbox, exit pipe and mounting components are manufactured from carbon fibre reinforced polycarbonate (PC-CF), selected for its strength, temperature resistance and dimensional stability in demanding engine-bay conditions.

A dedicated flexible TPU intake duct supplies fresh air to the enclosed airbox, helping separate the filter from the surrounding engine bay environment. A clear polycarbonate cover provides visibility of the filter while retaining the benefits of an enclosed design.

Purpose-designed TPU components are used throughout the system, including the intake duct, exit pipe gasket, cover gasket and mounting bushes. These provide flexible sealing and vibration isolation while allowing the rigid PC-CF components to remain securely located.

Designed and manufactured in Australia by Roccomotive, the A80 Supra 2JZ-GE Performance Airbox provides a purpose-built intake solution for owners wanting to upgrade the naturally aspirated Supra without compromising the character or presentation of the engine bay.

Materials are stated per product. We don’t publish airflow, temperature or power figures — there is no test data behind them, so we describe what the part is made of and how it’s designed instead.

How it's built

Box, lid, pipe, gaskets, filter, hardware. Nothing you have to fabricate.

Made in Brendale

Scanned, designed and printed a few streets from where it’s fitted.

Every Roccomotive product starts as a 3D scan of the actual engine bay, is designed over that mesh by a mechanical engineer, and is printed here in the material chosen for its job. Metal parts — like the GR Corolla’s cooling panel — are laser cut and powder coated.

Questions

Asked before you ask.

Does it fit the turbo (2JZ-GTE)?
No — this system is for the naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE. If you have a GTE, tell us; it may be worth developing.
Do I need a tune?
No — a tune isn't required simply to fit this airbox. Whether further tuning adds benefit depends on the rest of the car's setup. That answer is specific to this product, not a blanket rule.
